Wedding Gowns to Suit Your Body Shape

This is so everything will look spot on during the big day. But of course, it’s not just about the right look if you want to look perfect on your wedding. The right gowns suited for your body type should be taken into consideration as well.

Petite
Petite brides might have a hard time getting an off the rack wedding gown. But as a rule of thumb, petite ladies should avoid dresses with a lot of materials or excess fabric. Hourglass
When we say hourglass figure, it means that your bust and hip has almost the same measurement and that your waist is evidently smaller. You should opt for gowns that will highlight your curves. Triangle

If you have an athletic built, we recommend gowns that will make your waist look smaller. Empire wedding dresses will work best on you. If you are not comfortable with this choice, then A-line wedding gowns should do the trick as well.

Spoon
You might want to try strapless or off shoulder wedding gowns if you have this body shape. The objective here is to de-emphasize the lower part of your body. Thus, empire cut dresses should do you good too.

Round
It is best if you get a wedding gown that has full sleeves or at least three fourth sleeves. Also, try to avoid high neck dresses or gowns. You can either choose from deep, sweetheart, or wive V neck lines.

Diamond
For those who have broader shoulders or bigger bust, these are commonly called inverted triangle or diamond body type. It is suggested to avoid gowns with wide or puffy sleeves. Go for full ball gown that can subtly hide a bigger lower body. Layers of skirt will be amazing as well.
